Roots

We are Mennonite.  Mennonites are Anabaptists.  Bethany Mennonite Church (BMC) is a part of the Mennonite Church USA through its membership with the Franconia Conference.

BMC was begun in 1952.  An article in the Vermont Standard was written in early 2011 about the beginnings of the church.  You can access it on their site here or read the blog post on our site here.

We are part of our community and seeking community.  Whatever ideas you have about Mennonites, there’s a chance that BMC is different than what you’d expect.  For example, we don’t have long beards (most of us) and we don’t drive horse and buggy’s (none of us).  We do, however, love a good Potluck meal!
